Last year, I decided it was time to clear out my home office. I found a working printer & a DVD player that I didn’t need anymore.
They were still clean and in good condition! So, I took them to my local Goodwill donation center. The whole thing was super quick and easy. Knowing those devices could help someone felt fantastic!

Many great organizations in the U.S. accept used electronics. Here are some I’ve had fabulous experiences with:
- Goodwill: They take all sorts of electronics! They sell them in stores or recycle them properly. Plus, the money goes toward job training programs & employment support.
- The Salvation Army: This group accepts various electronic items too! They refurbish what they can & sell them to fund their important community programs.
- Computers with Causes: They fix up donated computers and give them to families in need as well as schools & non-profits.
- World Computer Exchange: This organization helps provide refurbished computers for young people in developing countries to support their education.
- Cell Phones for Soldiers: They take old cell phones as well! Those phones are recycled or refurbished, and the funds help provide free communication services for active-duty military members & veterans.
