Bluey has captured the hearts of kids across the world and is one of the most popular party themes right now.

Last year, I joined my friend Clara to throw a Bluey birthday party for her son. We had themed Bluey party favors, themed decorations, and fun activities.

Whenever I host any party, I always try to include eco-friendly touches in my events. Even at this party, we balanced making the party fun and exciting while keeping some sustainable elements in the mix.

Bluey Party Favors

We purchased many of the party supplies and favors from Amazon, which made planning much easier. I have given the product links below in the post.

Party favors should send kids home with a piece of fun and memories. So, here I have listed the Bluey party favors we used for my friend’s son’s birthday.

Best Bluey Party Favors Ideas

It was my first time hosting a blue-themed party. I had not hosted any party under this theme before. So, my friend Clara and I did some research to find the best favors with the same theme.

We were planning to mix budget-friendly, DIY, ready-made, and homemade items to make it exciting. So, here is what we included:

At Clara’s son’s birthday party, our intention was to send home every little guest with a handful of Bluey-themed goodies.

The kids were excited to receive Bluey Fruit Flavored Snacks pouches, shaped like their favorite characters. This was a good choice; I saw several little ones snacking on them before they even left the party!

We also included a Mini Sketch Book set, which came with a sketch book, stickers, and a stamper. This was actually a useful, creative gift.

Each favor bag also had a Bluey Bath finger puppet, which was a surprise favorite, as kids immediately started putting on tiny puppet shows.

We also added Bluey Bubble Tubs with Wands. Our backyard was filled with floating bubbles, creating a magical party atmosphere.

And, because I love a homemade touch, we baked some Bluey-themed cookies, which were packed up with a little thank-you tag.

Everything was packed into Bluey Party Favor Bags made of high-quality kraft paper, tying it all together with a cute, themed presentation.

Decorations and Supplies

The decorations are most important to match the party theme. Since this blog post is mainly focused on party favors, I will tell you briefly what we used for the decoration.

We used a Bluey-themed tableware set, which included a table cover, small and large paper plates, Bluey paper cups, and Bluey paper napkins.

A standout piece was the Bluey-themed large balloon arch garland set. We also had a Bluey-themed backdrop for the cake-cutting area.

These helped us take great party photos. To add more party theme elements, we decorated with Bluey and Bingo-shaped balloons and used a Bluey-themed number foil balloon.

For the dessert table, we also used Bluey cake toppers. You can read my detailed blog about reusable party decorations.

Fun Kids’ Activities we included

For the birthday party, we planned some fun activities too! We had a Bluey dance party, where the kids showed off their best moves to the show’s theme song.

Another activity was Keepy Uppy, where kids tried to keep balloons in the air as long as possible. We also set up a craft station where kids painted their own animal masks to take home.

We mixed both interactive and creative fun-type games. This kept everyone engaged throughout the party.

How we handled the waste after the party

As you know, I am an eco-friendly person. After the party, we made sure to handle waste responsibly. If you are new to composting, you can read my post on apartment composting.

We packed almost all leftover food for guests and composted the remaining in Clara’s backyard composting setup. We collected and sorted recyclables like paper plates and cups to ensure they didn’t end up in the trash.

We deflated the balloon decorations carefully and stored them for reuse at another event. Since the favor bags were made of kraft paper, they were easy to recycle.

Throwing a party is all about creating fun, joyful memories. We are sure that our Bluey party favors helped those memories last even longer with the kids.

If you are planning to host a Bluey-themed party, my above recommendations may help you choose some. And if you’ve already hosted a Bluey party before, I’d love to know what party favors you used!
